Welcome to The Village Church Farm Museum. Our volunteers and staff are committed to providing the best possible experience for our visitors and will always treat every visitor with respect. Please do the same for them and your fellow visitors whilst you are with us.
General Admission
We rely on an ‘Entrance by Donation’ policy to allow for every visitor to enjoy our Museum
according to what is affordable to them. We may have some special organised events that
require a small admittance payment.
By entering the Museum grounds, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
General Conditions
- The Museum is entrance by donation except for specific ticketed event day
- All tickets for special events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Any person under 18 must be accompanied by a suitable adult.
- Any person found to be damaging museum property/exhibits/gardens and grounds
will be subject to appropriate legal proceedings. - We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove a visitor from the Museum if the visitor
is deemed to be:- Physically or verbally abusive.
- Behaving in a threatening manner.
- Under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
- May be a risk to the safety of Museum staff and volunteers or other visitors.
- Disrupting to the enjoyment of other Museum visitors.
- Fails to comply with the reasonable requests of Museum staff.
- Is found to be in breach of our terms and conditions or statutory law.
Specific Conditions:
- Alcohol: Outside of specifically licensed events, visitors aren’t permitted to consume alcohol on-site.
- Animals: We are dog-friendly and welcome well-behaved dogs on a lead throughout
the site except within the exhibit buildings. - Behaviour: Physical, verbally abusive, or threatening behaviour towards our staff,
volunteers, or other Museum visitors is unacceptable. - Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is used throughout the Museum site.
- Data Protection and Privacy: We collect and retain contact details for surveys, caravan
guests and event organisers and visitors where appropriate. For full details of our Data
Protection Policy please ask a management team member. - Lost and Found: Any found property is locked away in the manager’s office and (if
unable to be returned to its owner) retained for a period of 3 months before suitable
disposal. - Photography & Filming: Photography for personal use is permitted, provided the
photographer doesn’t disrupt the experience for fellow visitors. Any filming of staff
exhibits or buildings will only be permitted with the express authorisation of the
Manager. - Smoking: Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes / vaping are not permitted within the
Museum grounds except in our designated smoking area (to the left of the front door) - Unauthorised events: Visitors are asked not to engage in unauthorised events (e.g.
impromptu paranormal events). All events must be suitably arranged and authorised
through the management team and the appropriate fees paid. - Uneven surfaces: Please be careful on uneven surfaces, be aware of moving vehicles,
and do not climb or play on exhibits. - Feedback and Complaints Procedure: Please seek out a member of staff who will
direct you to our management team. They will be happy to welcome all constructive
feedback and reasoned complaints. - Legal Disclaimer: The museum is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage sustained
by visitors during their visit, unless where negligence on the part of the museum can
be proven.
